Microsoft purchased a company that created GroupChat and wanted to integrate the app into Lync. GroupChat was a robust app that had been built around the needs of Financial Services clients. Our primary goal was to create a single sign on experience that would incorporate the robust functionality of GroupChat into the lightweight Lync client.
